The natural world holds a grounding space to offer healing to one’s relationship with their body. It is common for humans to feel disconnected or critical towards their bodies due to the societal norms and pressures in today’s world. Join Rachel Oppenheimer, LCPC, to learn more about how nature can help foster a deeper and accepting connection to the self and the body, exploring different nature-informed interventions to help clients reach body acceptance, positivity, or neutrality.

Rachel Oppenheimer
LCPC
Rachel is a licensed clinical professional counselor providing therapy for those in eating disorder recovery or individuals struggling with anxiety, inner critic, and negative body image. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University. Rachel is a certified Nature Informed Therapist and has a passion for helping others connect deeply to the natural world. She has experience leading mental health hiking and backpacking groups, and believes the natural world has a profound benefit on healing negative body image.

CE Details
Center for Nature Informed Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7473. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Center for Nature Informed Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Body Image & Nature Training course will receive 3 NBCC credit hours.

This program consists of 3 NBCC clock hours of continuing education instruction. Credit requirements and approvals vary per state board regulations. Please save the course outline, the certificate of completion you receive from the activity and contact your state board or organization to determine specific filing requirements

The Center for Nature Informed Therapy, Provider 2022, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: July 7, 2024-July 7, 2025. Social workers completing this course receive 3 general continuing education credits.
